The course is intended for students of bachelors study programmes of specialist subjects of Food Chemistry, Biotechnologies and Technical Chemistry. The objective is to provide students with basic knowledge and information from the field of cosmetology. Meaning of terms cosmetics and cosmetology. Legislation in cosmetics in the Czech Republic and European Union. Anatomy and physiology of skin. Functions, possibilities and limits of cosmetics. Cosmetic raw materials. Specification of cosmetic raw materials according to their chemical composition. Specification of cosmetic raw materials according to their functions and effects. Biological active substances. Apportionment of cosmetic agents according to the actual criteria. Specification of cosmetics agents according to the physical condition. Specification of cosmetic agents according to their function.
