On the project
Projekt bude zaměřen na systematickou charakteristiku diafragmového výboje buzeného ve vodných roztocích organických sloučenin pomocí stejnosměrného pulsního i nepulsního napětí. Studium bude porovnávat vliv různých experimentálních podmínek (elektrické charakteristiky, fyzikálně-chemické vlastnosti média) na procesy iniciované výbojem ve vodných roztocích organických barviv a následně i směsí huminových látek. Pro diagnostiku buzeného plazmatu budou využity zejména spektrální metody, analýza roztoků látek se bude opírat o běžné analytické metody (UV-VIS a IČ spektroskopie, kapalinová chromatografie aj.) Snahou bude komplexní popis jak generačních procesů produkujících reaktivní částice ve vodném roztoku (radikály OH a H, peroxid vodíku), tak degradačních mechanismů organických sloučenin. Ve druhé části projektu budou zjištěné závislosti porovnávány s procesy iniciovanými v konfiguraci výboje generovaného nad vodní hladinou. Praktická aplikace projektu spočívá v nalezení optimálního plazmového režimu vhodného pro čištění vody.
Description in English
This project will be focused on a systematic characterisation of the diaphragm discharge generated in water solutions of organic compounds using the DC pulsed and non-pulsed high voltage. The study will compare the influence of various experimental conditions (electric characteristics, physical-chemical properties of investigated medium) on processes initiated by the discharge in water solutions of organic dyes and subsequently in mixtures of humic matters. Especially spectral methods will be used for plasma diagnostics, common analytical methods (UV-VIS and IR spectroscopy, liquid chromatography, etc.) will serve for solution analyses. The project goal is a complex description of both generation processes producing reactive species in water solution (OH and H radicals, hydrogen peroxide) and of degradation mechanisms of organic compounds. The second part of the project will compare the obtained results with processes initiated by the discharge generated above the water surface. The practical application of the project is the estimation of an optimal plasma regime for water treatment.
