Call for abstracts

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are honoured to invite you to submit an abstract to the 9th Meeting on Chemistry & Life … for Sustainable Future. To have your abstract considered for presentation at the conference, please submit the abstract formatted according to this template via e-mail conference@fch.vut.cz.

ABSTRACT TEMPLATE

The abstracts will be evaluated, and, if accepted, the authors will be informed of the form of presentation (oral or poster). Abstracts must be submitted before 15 June 2024 (23:59 CET).

The abstract is limited to 1 page per abstract (main text, excluding title, author names and affiliations, as well as funding information and references, if any).

Oral Presenters

Presenters scheduled for oral presentations are kindly requested to bring their presentation file stored on a USB drive. We encourage loading your presentation during the coffee breaks or lunch, just before your session. Morning speakers are advised to arrive early and upload their presentations at least 20 minutes prior to the start of the morning session.

Please adjust the duration of your presentation in accordance with the programme guidelines:

  • Plenary presentations: 50 minutes for presentation followed by a 10-minute discussion.
  • Keynote presentations: 30 minutes for the presentation, followed by a 10-minute discussion.
  • Oral presentations: 15-minute presentation, followed by a 5-minute discussion.
  • PhD section presentations: 15-minute presentation, including the subsequent discussion.


Poster Presenters

Please ensure your poster is displayed on the assigned board either during the registration period or the morning session on Thursday, 12 September, between 7:30 and 12:30. All posters must be taken down no later than 15:00 on Friday, 13 September. Authors are kindly requested to present their posters during the Thursday evening poster session.

Please note that the maximum dimensions for posters should not exceed 95 cm in width and 130 cm in height.

PhD Research Award

The best contributions in young research category (active PhD student) have the chance to receive an award of 10 000 CZK (approximately 400 EUR). To be considered for the awards, participants must present their research by poster actively during the Thursday evening poster session. The best lecture in the PhD student section will also be awarded.
