Organic chemistry C
FCH-BCT_OCHKAcad. year: 2009/2010
The class Organic chemistry K formulates basic information on chemistry of hydrocarbons and their derivates. The class also comprises the nomenclature of organic compounds, stereochemistry and the most important reaction mechanisms of organic compounds.
Individual topics:
1. Organic compounds. Nomenclature and stereochemistry of organic compounds.
2. Saturated hydrocarbons, alkanes and cycloalkanes. Unsaturated and aromatic hydrocarbons, alkenes, dienes, alkynes, arenes.
3. Derivatives of hydrocarbons. Halogen derivatives, hydroxy compounds, ethers, amines, nitro compounds.
4. Carbonyl compounds. Aldehydes and ketones. Carboxylic acids and their functional and substitution derivatives.
5. Heterocyclic compounds.
6. Saccharides.
