Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

It is required from theoretical exercises obtain minimum 10 from 20 points and to be succesfull in two tests (minimum 4 points from 8 for each test) Examination verifies the knowledge of definitions, laws and their applications on the examples namely. Examination is in oral form. The student can graduate the oral examination after obtaining of 18 points in exercises, it is succesfull in minimum 32 points.
Participation at seminars and gaining of at least 18 points from the control work in theoretical exercise (Mechanics - 8 points, Physical field - 8 points, 20 points in the exercises). If the student fails to fulfill this condition, the teacher may set a substitute grant condition. The remaining 64 points can be obtained after a successful oral exam. To qualify for a credit, at least 50% of points for each part (4 points, 4 points, 10 points) must be met. A minimum of 50% points (32 points) must be awarded for the successful passing of the exam. The assessment of the test takes into account the point assessment of the exercise.

Aims

The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with the basic concepts and laws of physics and their applications. Students gain an idea of the movement of particles, their systems, rigid bodies and the continuum in physical fields with respect to the energy approach. For this purpose a brief theory of gravitational and electromagnetic fields will be given. At the end students will get an overview of modern areas of physics. The aim of the course is to make students aware that physics is the theoretical basis and the starting point of engineering disciplines.
Students will obtain basic knowledge of mechanics, theory of physical field and wave and quantum physics
