Course detail

Molecular Biotechnology

FCH-MC_MOBAcad. year: 2025/2026

The course is focused on the explanation of procedures used in molecular biotechnology for construction of genetically modified organisms with required characteristics. It explains the procedures used for gene transfer from one organism to the other with the aim to obtain an useful product including procedures used for optimalisation of gene expression and stability of recombinant proteins in procaryotic and eucaryotic cells. The impact of transgenic microorganisms, plants and animals in our life and their practical use are explained in addition to their construction.
