Aims

The aim of the first part of laboratory classes on analytical chemistry I, focused on quantitative reactions, is to learn students characteristic reactions of anorganic ions with selected group and selective agents, with visual or basic instrumental detection. The aim of the second part of laboratory classes on analytical chemistry I is introduction of students to problems of qualitative analytical chemistry, mastering of basic analytical methods of gravimetry and volumetry.
After students finished this course, they increase their competence as follows:

1. They have overview of analytically and technologically significant reactions of common ions.
2. They extension of knowledge on reactivity and some physical properties of groups of elements/ions.
3. Students be able apply the choice of an important analytical reagents and indicators.
4. Students be introduced with techniques of microscope reactions and small-volume reactions.
5. They will be used precise work in analytical laboratory, preparation of standard solutions and samples.
6. Students will be able to use of basic calculations in gravimerty and volumetry.
