Electron processes in molecular materials

Course is focused on phenomena which are related to energy transitions of electrons in molecular materials, such as absorption of electromagnetic radiation, radiative and non-radiative transitions, exciton formation and transport, energy transfer, exciton dissociation, ionized states, charge transport, polarons, recombination of charge carriers, etc.

University level of solid state physics, physical chemistry and general and organic chemistry.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Course is closed by colloquium, which includes a lecture on a given topic.
Lectures are not compulsory but recommended.

The aim of the course is to obtain knowledge about electron processes that take place in molecular materials.
Students will gain knowledge of the selected areas, see the syllabus.
