Course detail
Green Chemistry
FCH-MA_ENG10Acad. year: 2024/2025
The subject will provide knowledge of green chemistry issues, a modern view of the use of specific procedures that lead to the reduction of the ecological burden and the efficiency of chemical processes.
Language of instruction
Number of ECTS credits
Mode of study
Guarantor
Offered to foreign students
Aims
The students understand the principles of green chemistry. The students are familiar with the process of scientific work in the field of green chemistry and are able to derive research-oriented experiments from hypotheses, to develop and to carry out the core points of scientific articles and to elaborate them in hypothesis-controlled experiments in the field.
Students will understand modern green renewable technologies as a potential energy source for future.
Students learn:
Principles and strategies of green chemistry
Chemistry and use of Ionic liquids
Application of green solvents
(Bio)catalysis
Designing greener processes
