Work placements
Aims
Because there it is an interdisciplinary field, students are confronted with their partial knowledge of biology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, as well as many others, such as analytical chemistry and sensory analysis. The result should be a comprehensive and systematic review of knowledge on which they can then (in practice) build.
Basic assumptions / outputs can be summarized as follows:
1. the understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the skin, as the interface between the human organism and chemicals (cosmetics raw materials)
2. an awareness of the chemical structure and properties of cosmetic materials, their compatibility and the possibility of interaction,
3. the ability to assemble a recipe of cosmetic product with regard to its desired properties,
4. based on this knowledge to optimize the technology of cosmetic product production
5. to have an overview about the methods essential to evaluate the safety and effects of cosmetic products
6. all this to deal with an awareness of legislative regulations and quality systems in the field of cosmetology.
