Definition of metrology, its importance for environmental analysis. Development and optimization of analytical methods; repeatability of analyses.. Metrological characteristics of analytical methods; limit of detection, limit of quantification, return, traceability, robustness, control long-term stability analytical method validation and uncertainty. Standard operating procedure and quality assurance of analytical results.
