The course uses teaching methods in form of individual consultation. The e-learning system (LMS Moodle) is available to teachers and students.

1) Composition and properties of natural water from point of view of drinking water treatment technology
2) Drinking water quality requirements, notice of Ministry of public health of Czech Republic, (MZ ČR) č. 252/2004 Sb.
3) Dispersive systems and their stability
4) Coagulation and aggregation in drinking water treatment, kinetics of coagulation
5) Determination of optimal dose of coagulant
6) Significance of mixing for formation of separable aggregates
7) Separation of suspensions (1st separative step - sedimantation), surficial loading
8) Separation of suspensions (1st separative step - claryfiers)
9) Separation of suspensions by filtration, filtration materials, theory of filtration
10) Separation of suspensions by filtration, kinds of filtration and types of filters
11) Duration of filtr cycle and sludge capacity
12) Washing of filters
13) Flotation
14) Membrane processes in drinking water treatment
15) Elimination of iron and manganese from water
