Learning outcomes of the course unit

Basic awareness of types of the materials, their properties and basic applications.
Knowledge of polymer, silicate and metallic materials that will benefit in the following narrow-profile courses.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of the inorganic and the physical chemistry.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course uses teaching methods in form of Lecture - 2 teaching hours per week. The e-learning system (LMS Moodle) is available.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

For the successful passing of the course, it is required to obtain at least 50% points from the final credit test. Individual themes are published on the LMS Moodle e-learning system.

9. Macrodefect-free composites and high-grade concrete

Aims

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with individual topics in the field of material chemistry, which reflects the scientific and applied intention of the Institute of materials chemistry.
