Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course uses teaching methods in form of Lecture - 1 teaching hour per week, Seminar - 2 teaching hours per week. The e-learning system (LMS Moodle) is available to teachers and students.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Seminar:
Succesfully passed all periodical written tests in the total score of 50% points. Passed seminar is necessary for the exam.
Exam:
Written and oral part. Written part - ten questions, answers marked by up to 100 points, limit to pass: 50 points. No oral part after unsuccessful written part. Failed oral part may be repeated without repeating written part.

Aims

The goal of the subject Physical chemistry I. is to provide the students with the rudiments of chemical thermodynamics and electrochemistry in such a way, that the students are able to utilize them by the solution of problems in laboratory and industrial practice. Simultaneously, the obtained knowledge serves as a basis for the study of other subjects.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
