Organic Chemistry II

Halogen deivatives, nucleophilic substitution at saturated carbon atom, eleimination reactions. Alcohols and phenols, polyhydroxyderivatives. Oxidation alcohols and phenols. Ethers, peroxides, epoxides, crown-ethers. Thiols, sulfides, sulfonic acids and their derivatives. Esters of inorganic acids. Amines, diazotation, arendiazonium salts and application, amine oxides. Diazo compounds, carbenes.Azides. Nitrocompounds. Organometallic compounds. Aldehydes and ketones, nucleophilic addition to the carbonyl group, aldolization reactions of aldehydes and ketones. Saccharides, structure and reactivity.Carboxylic acids, esterification, acyl halogenides, anhydrides, esters, amides. Halogen and amino acids, peptides, carbonic acid derivatives. Dicarbonyl compounds, unsaturated carbonyl compounds, quinones.

The examination consists from written test and oral examination. In the written part knowledge from Organic Chemistry II is tested, in oral exam then knowledge from the whole Organic chemistry.
Registered student at the dates of examination in the written part of the exam. Then the result of the written part of the examination will be published on that day (the time will be specified on the morning of the day of the examination) and the oral part of the examination will continue according to the results of this part. Students will be divided among the examiners: Dr. Repková and doc. Krajčovič. This information applies to each listed term.
