Original Abstract
Ca-phosphate coatings were prepared by the ultrasonic spray deposition of aerosols arised from ceramic suspension. Hydroxyapatite suspension was prepared using the precipitation method. The reaction of aqueous solutions of calcium nitrate and ammonium hydrophosphate was kept at pH= 8,5 using an ammonium hydroxide aqueous solution. Resulting concentration of HA aqueous suspension was 9 wt %. A part of prepared suspension was mixed up with water colloidal solution SiO2 (26,6 wt %) in the weight ratio 1:1. The prepared suspensions were deposited by ultrasonic spray deposition on the surface of alumina and zirconia samples. The size of aerosol drops was the function of ultrasonic frequency, viscosity of the suspension and volume of the supplied suspension. The influence of time of deposition, rate of drying and number of deposited layers on the strucrure of coatings was studied. The coated samples were futher presintered at a temperature of 500°C and sintered at a range of temperature from 1200°C to 1250°C. Phase composition of sintered coatings was studied by the X-ray diffraction, the structure of the coats was studied by scanning electron microscopy and adhesion was tested by indentation method.
