Original Abstract

This study deals with the preparation and characterization of layered double hydroxides (LDH) on Mg substrates prepared by powder metallurgy (PM). The work focuses on the optimization of the preparation of MgAl-LDH. Preparation conditions such as pH (10 and 12), temperature (90 and 100 °C) pressure and time were varied. In particular, the morphology and structure of the coatings and their elemental composition were evaluated. The evaluation was carried out using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) with an energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS).
