Original Abstract
According to the Alstom company order no. 4100395553 of 18th June 2013, the present report deals with the characterization of material P91 and his damage by an unknown object. The material was damaged inside the high pressure pipeline piece installed by the Alstom company in Ledvice power plant. Following pictures illustrate the location of the pipeline defect in a weld, as it was documented when the contract was accepted (7th May 2013). The defect was detected on 7th March 2013. The pipeline piece was welded on 24th March 2010, thermally treated on 26th March 2010, on 3rd May 2010 it was dispatched from the factory and on 4th May 2010 it was received in Ledvice. The objective of the work is to determine an approximate date of the defect formation by evaluating the oxidation extent. First results were informed by mail on 26th June 2013, preliminary protocol about the measurement results was sent on 16th July 2013.
