Original Abstract
The gaseous products formed in nitrogen/methane discharge were analysed a GC-MS (Gas Chromatograph-Mass Spectrometer). During the experiments the formation of stable products and their dependence on the flow rate and discharge power was investigated. Besides the main products formed in our atmospheric glow discharge, the water and carbon monoxide were detected. The same molecules have been detected in Titan's atmosphere and the present experiments may provide some insights into the plasma chemical mechanisms prevalent in Titan's atmosphere.
