Original Abstract

We review the large applicability of the maximum informational entropy principle formulated by Jaynes. The main attention is devoted to the nonequilibrium systems. The nonequilibrium statistical distribution method based on the Jaynes variational principle is described. This method provides foundations to the phenomenological irreversible thermodynamics.

Keywords

Maximum informational entropy principle, nonequilibrium statistical distribution function.
