Original Abstract

Mould contamination of foods was determined using cultivation and microscopic techniques. Mycotoxins were isolated from contaminated foods and identified using TLC and RP-HPLC. Genotoxic effects of mycotoxins, mould extracts and food extracts were studied using the Ames test.
