Original Abstract
The study explores the electrical properties of two ionic liquids (ILs), [EMIM][Tf2N] and [BMIM][SO3CF3], using an organic electrochemical transistor OECT) as the primary investigative device. Ionic liquids, considered "smart liquids“, have applications in tribology due to their unique ability to alter properties under external stimuli such as light or electric fields. The study investigates how an external electric field influences ion manipulation by measuring volt-ampere characteristics. This research contributes to understanding the mechanisms behind the rheological and tribological behavior of these smart liquids under electric influence, offering potential ecological and functional advantages over traditional lubricants.
