Original Abstract

Soil quality can be influenced by xenobiotics introduced into the soil through anthropogenic activities. The application of animal fertilizers leads to the accumulation of pharmaceuticals in the soil, where these substances can subsequently affect the ecosystem and degrade its quality. The overall assessment of soil quality can be performed using various methods, including the application of ecotoxicological principles at both the organismal and suborganismal levels. The organismal level is represented by endpoints such as biomass parameters, while the suborganismal level focuses on biochemical parameters in the soil or within organisms. By monitoring these endpoints at both levels, the effects of contaminants on different parts of ecosystems can be better understood.
