Original Abstract
Protein p53 is one of the most studied tumour suppressor proteins, plays important roles in regulating basic biological processes. The human p53 gene contains alternative promoters and thanks to alternative splicing could be expressed in several isoforms. P53 protein function is realized by DNA-binding and transactivation of target genes. In this paper results of p53alpha isoform DNA interaction studies by yeast isogenic system for in vivo transactivation studies in chromosomal context were presented.
