Original Abstract
Fulvic acids isolated from South-Bohemian peat and forest soil were characterized using spectral techniques and elemental analysis. Fluorophores of terrestrial fulvic acids lie within the α’ and α regions with typical maxima centered in the range 240–280/400–500 nm and 300–380/400–500 nm (λex/λem). Fulvic acids isolated from Humic Podzol were characterized also by two protein-like fluorophores. EEM spectra have the character of fingerprints for fulvic acids, respective humic materials. Distinctive 13C NMR signal of amino acids, typical for protein-like substance, was found in 45–106 ppm region.
