Original Abstract
The chemical processes initiated by electrical discharges in gaseous mixtures relating the planetary atmospheres are currently a hot topic in the field of space life searching. The current research focusses on the synthesis of high molecular weight species (tholines) formed by atmospheric pressure glow discharge in Titan and Mars atmospheres. The glos discharge plasma was studied using optical emission spektrometry. The in situ proton transfer reaction time of flight mass spectrometry (PTR-TOF) was used for the discharge exhaust gas analysis in the flowing regime.
