Original Abstract

Nowadays, used of waste materials in cement chemistry is very actual topic. This fact should be solving two main problems: a big amount of waste and decrease of financial part of production. The use of waste materials in cement chemistry could be causes many undesirable changes in the results cement structure and properties. This study is due to about the influence of sulphite anions on the Portland clinker hydration. For an application of sulfite-containing products in building material industry, a better understanding of the hydration reactions and of the properties of the sulfite-containing hydrates is necessary. AFm phases also called (Al2O3-Fe2O3-mono), summarize of hydration products with general formula [Ca2(Al,Fe)(OH)6.X)].y H2O, where X means e.g. OH-, SO42-, CO32-. AFm phases are formed when the corresponding phase are in capable concentration present in the solution under room temperature. The incorporation of sulfite anions in the structure of lamellar AFm phase will be shown. The present of monosulphite in the Protland clinker system were investigated by infrared spectroscopy, XRD and SEM analyses.
