On the project
Caldimonas thermodepolymerans is a promising PHA producer. We know the capabilities and requirements of this bacteria, we have sequenced its genome and subjected it to various bioinformatic analyses, which have also uncovered unexplored regions – sRNAs. This project has great biotechnological and publication potential, as it is principally basic research with overlap into applied research – a closer understanding of the metabolic pathway of PHA would directly lead to an increase in biotechnological production of this, in result, biopolymer.
