On the project

The project proposes an innovative approach to synthesizing polymer-hydrogel composites with enhanced mechanical and functional properties through frontal polymerization (FP) within 3D-printed auxetic scaffolds. FP is energy-efficient polymerization method, that ensures high reaction conversion and uniform product composition. By combining biocompatible hydrogels with 3D-printed auxetic structures that exhibit exceptional tensile strength and energy absorption, the project aims to create a high-performance composite for biomedical applications.
