On the project
The main aim of this project will bet he preparation and characterization of polymeric systems for biological applications by means of micro as well as macrorheology. Microrheology will be performed using different microrheological techniques available at FCH BUT. Macrorheology will be measured using rotational (possibly also capillary) rheometry. In order to get comprehensive information about structural development of prepared samples (e.g. the way of binding active groups of fertilizers into the structure of hydrogel and way of degradation hydrogel’s structure), selected samples will be characterized with advanced RHEO-RAMAN technique (connection of rotational rheometer with confocal Raman microscope).
