Successful Participation of Our PhD Students at the European Biotechnology Congress 2024
Our PhD students from the Institute of Food Chemistry and Biotechnology had the opportunity to participate in the prestigious European Biotechnology Congress 2024, which took place in Istanbul, Turkey, from October 3-5. The conference highlighted the latest advancements in biotechnology, with a focus on applying these innovations across various sectors, including medicine, food, and animal feed.
We are proud to announce that our esteemed faculty member, Prof. Ivana Márová, was invited as a plenary speaker, delivering a keynote address that emphasized the significance of biotechnological research in addressing contemporary challenges.
Our PhD student, Ing. Lucia Dzurická, presented her research through an oral presentation, showcasing the high quality of work being conducted at our institution. Additionally, the rest of our team presented their findings through poster sessions, further contributing to the conference's knowledge-sharing environment. A highlight of the event was Ing. Jan Obračaj's outstanding achievement, as he received the award for the best poster presentation, reflecting the excellence of our students' research endeavors.
This participation not only underscores the international relevance of our research but also strengthens our university's reputation in the field of biotechnology. Congratulations to all who contributed to this successful representation on the global stage!
