Traditionally, the Colours of Ostrava music festival takes place in mid-July, which since 2016 has included the multidisciplinary discussion forum Meltingpot. This year's edition will feature, among others, several scientists from the Brno University of Technology, including Prof. Stanislav Obruča from the Institute of Food Chemistry and Biotechnology, Faculty of Chemistry. On Friday, July 19, at 7 pm, he will introduce the participants to his lecture on the topic "Out of the plastic age". In it, he will address not only the environmental impacts of the massive use of plastics, but also how to remodel materials policy, what impact an individual, an institution or an entire society can have, and whether there is a way out. Recordings of selected programme points will be available to watch on the platform www.colours.tv.
