New information for students and measures in connection with the COVID-19 spread

Updated information for students
Following the decision of the Czech government from 23 April, individual study activities of all university students are allowed beginning Monday, 27 April 2020. The Faculty of Chemistry still operates in the emergency mode, and the distance form of study is the primary one. However, the individual activities, experiments, consultations and exams in groups of maximum 5 people are allowed. The presence of students at the faculty is allowed only in cases when it is arranged and approved by their teacher/supervisor/consultant in advance. A student is allowed to participate in teaching activities, exams or other activities only if they meet the following requirements:

The Faculty of Chemistry still operates in the emergency mode, and the distance form of study is the primary one. However, the individual activities, experiments, consultations and exams in groups of maximum 5 people are allowed. The presence of students at the faculty is allowed only in cases when it is arranged and approved by their teacher/supervisor/consultant in advance. A student is allowed to participate in teaching activities, exams or other activities only if they meet the following requirements:
- student does not show any acute health problems that correspond to symptoms a viral infectious disease (e.g.: fever, cough, shortness of breath, sudden loss of taste and smell, etc.);
- student has not been ordered any quarantine measures;
- student provides an affidavit (written or electronic), stating the absence of any viral infectious disease symptoms in the previous two weeks.
During their presence at the faculty, students are obliged to comply with all hygienic and other preventive measures, especially:
- wear a face mask (or a similar form of protection of their mouth and nose);
- disinfect their hands right after entering the building;
- maintain a safe distance of 2 meters while being at the faculty premises;
- work individually or in a group of maximum 5 people at all times (this applies also to consultations and exams).
Moreover, all students are allowed to come individually to the faculty library to borrow and return the study materials and books. The faculty library will be open on Thursdays between 9.00 and 12.00 solely for these purposes. Books will be reserved in advance by filling in the web form. Updated academic calendar with all dates and deadlines will be published on the faculty website on Tuesday, 28 April 2020.
