Meeting with Academics: Prof. Michal Veselý

We invite all students to the next lecture in the new series of inspiring meetings with FCH academics. The lecture will take place on May 5 at 12:30 in room P1 and will feature Professor Michal Veselý, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry BUT.

Do you want to know how an enthusiastic student becomes a successful scientist? Curious about the journey our lecturers took to achieve their current titles and scientific discoveries? Come and listen to the personal stories of our academics, who will share insights into their beginnings in academia, their scientific work, and present the current research they are conducting at the Faculty of Chemistry. The event will also include an overview of their involvement in research teams and collaborations with other experts.

Michal Veselý is a professor at the Faculty of Chemistry, Brno University of Technology, and currently serves as the Dean of the faculty. His scientific and teaching activities focus on photochemistry, particularly photocatalysis, photocatalytic and photoactive materials combined with material printing, leading to the development of thin functional layers with potential and practical applications supported by numerous projects. He has been part of the Faculty of Chemistry since 1992 and founded the Photochemistry research group. He is the author and co-author of more than 70 scientific papers, three university textbooks, and numerous patents and utility models.
