Meeting with Academics: Assoc. Prof. Michaela Vašinová Galiová

Do you want to know how an enthusiastic student becomes a successful scientist? Curious about the journey our lecturers took to achieve their current titles and scientific discoveries? Come and listen to the personal stories of our academics, who will share their beginnings in academia, their scientific work, and present the current research they are conducting at the Faculty of Chemistry. The session will also include an overview of their involvement in research teams and collaboration with other experts.

Michaela Vašinová Galiová is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Chemistry, Brno University of Technology. She currently serves as the Vice-Dean for Bachelor's and Follow-up Master's Studies and leads the Analytical and Environmental Chemistry group. In her teaching and research activities, she focuses on the development and application of advanced analytical methods for the identification of mainly inorganic substances. In recent years, her work has concentrated on the use of laser techniques for 2D and 3D imaging in oncological research. She is the author and co-author of 80 scientific publications and 2 book chapters.
