The aim of the research presented in this thesis was to study the electronic properties of organic materials in general and photoconductive and luminescence properties in particular. These properties are conditioned by the electronic structure, which is usually described by the distribution of density of localized states (DOS).There were two main goals of this work. First intention was the elucidation of the influence of the disorder and doping of molecular materials on charge transport and distribution of DOS. The influence of the light-induced metastable states and degradation processes on the charge transport and their impact on DOS was also studied. Second intention of this work was the characterization of the electronic properties of organic films with respect to the method of their preparation. For the characterization several experimental methods were applied: IR and UV VIS spectroscopy, photoluminescence characterization and steady-state and time-resolved electroluminescence measurements. The experimental studies were supplemented by the results coming from computer simulation, to whose improvement was devoted an extra attention.
