The aim of this paper is to quantify fracture parameters of two types of concrete with alkali ac-tivated binder. The beam specimens with stress concentrator were tested in three-point bending at the age 28 days and 90 days. Records of fracture tests in form load versus crack mouth open-ing displacement (P–CMOD) diagrams were evaluated using Double-K fracture model. This model constitutes two material parameters; the first is called the initiation stress intensity factor, which defines the onset of cracking, and the second the unstable fracture toughness, which de-fines the onset of unstable cracking or failure. These parameters characterize the tested materials in more details and proceed from combination of the linear fracture mechanics principles and the concept of cohesive forces acting on the faces of the fictitious (effective) crack increment. Specimen response during fracture tests was also monitored by means of acoustic emission.
