Red yeasts are known by their unusually composed and rigid cell wall which makes cell dissintegration and intracellular molecule isolation extremely difficult. Thus, characterization of red yeast genome and identification of these strains by molecular methods is complicated problems with DNA isolation. In this work two molecular techniques to yeast strain identification were compared.
