In this contribution, a printed oxygen indicator for food packaging is introduced. It is based on a similar oxygen indicator described earlier. The oxygen indicator is activated by photocatalytic reduction of the dye after previous UVA irradiation. The reduced dye then reacts with ambient oxygen, changing colour of the indicator.
