Improvement of low temperature fracture toughnesss of PP is commonly achieved using blends of PP with elastomers. Substantial reduction of the material elastic moduli as well as yield strength occuring in these materials is the main off set hindering extension of the applicability of these materials in the area covered by engineering plastics. There are indications in the literature that it is possible to achieve increased fracture toughness and, at the same time, enhanced elastic moduli and yield strength when solid, plastically deformable inclusions of optimum interfacial adhesion are uniformly dispersed in the PP matrix. The primary goal of the proposed project is to investigate effects of various structural variables such as PP tacticity, TLCPbackbone rigidity and composition of the partially neutralized Na salts of PP-AA copolymer used as compatibilizer ob the impact fracture response of PP/TLCP blends. It is hypothetized that during the fracture process, spherical inclusions of TLCP will
