Pozvánka na přednášku: Tadas Dambrauskas – Green routes to silicon-based binding materials, Irmantas Barauskas – Chemical technology
Přednáška se bude konat v úterý 14. 5. 2024 od 13:00 v posluchárně P17
Assoc. Prof. Tadas Dambrauskas – Green routes to silicon-based binding materials, Assoc. Prof. dr. Irmantas Barauskas – Chemical technology
The lecture addresses the issue of CO2 emissions and explores potential solutions. It discusses how supplementary cementitious materials, new binders, and CO2 adsorption can contribute to the development of more environmentally friendly construction materials. The lecture emphasizes the importance of these methods in reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the construction sector. During the lectures the stages of process development and the concept of process intensification will be explored.
Assoc. Prof. Tadas Dambrauskas – Green routes to silicon-based binding materials
Assoc. Prof. Tadas Dambrauskas received a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Kaunas University of Technology on 8 May 2019. He has been conducting research on the synthesis of functional silicate materials under hydrothermal conditions, their thermal stability, and potential applications in environmentally friendly technologies. With co-authors, Assoc. Prof. Dr. T. Dambrauskas has published 37 scientific publications in journals with a citation index included in the Clarivate Analytics WoS database and one scientific monograph and has obtained 3 Lithuanian patents. Assoc. Prof. Dr. T. Dambrauskas has managed more than 15 projects funded by the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences and private businesses.
Assoc. Prof. dr. Irmantas Barauskas – Chemical technology
Associate Professor dr. Irmantas Barauskas is a coordinator and lecturer of PhD courses “Chemical engineering”, second degree subjects “Flow dynamics”, “Heat and mass transfer”. His research field cover cement chemistry. He is expert of Certification of building materials (assessment of Factory production control and Certification of concrete, cement, precast concrete products, masonry products, aggregates, admixtures for concrete) and a member of Technical Committee of National Standardization for inorganic binding materials (cement, gypsum, lime).
