Bioengineering II

FCH-MC_BIO2Acad. year: 2018/2019

Lectures are focused on explanation of basic operations (cell disruption, protein precipitation, exctraction, large-scale chromatography) used in isolation and purification of biologically active compounds (proteins, nucleic acids) from microorganisms.

Aims

Lectures cover methods for biotechnoly product processing

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Attendance at lectures is not obligatory but it is recommended. At seminars the calculations of model examples are given - attendance is obligatory (full-time form in the exercises, combined form as correspondence tasks).
After individual subject units, students should pass through written excercises with max. of 30 points. Minimum for success: 15 points. (both forms of study).
